Gourmeticat is a Catalan gastronomy site, which above all considers most important that the roots and evolution of cuisine is shown in local restaurants, and of course in the foreign cuisines that have come along. That's the reason why the site is centered in reviewing restaurants in Catalonia, Spain. The site is locally operated by Barcelona-resident and gourmet critic Xavi Serra.

The reviews on this website have been amassed personally by Xavi, and his grading system "Boletus", is based on quality of cuisine, the consistence and variety of the menu, service, ambience, price-for-quality, presentation and wine selection/knowledge.
